According to the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Dubai witnessed the inauguration of the Kazakh Steppe Innovation Center at the Kazakh Trade Company Pavilion, marking a major step for Kazakh startups in the global market.

The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliev, as well as a number of Emirati dignitaries, highlighting the booming cooperation between the two countries in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship.
Minister Arman Shakkaliev emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to promoting digital innovation and mentioned that Kazakhstan’s IT services exports will reach the milestone of $500 million by the end of 2023. Initiated by the startup community, the establishment of a co-working center within the Trade Hall aims to harness the full potential of the domestic IT industry.
Minister Shakaliyev pointed out: “The professional platform of the Kazakh Steppe Innovation Center will become a channel to promote Kazakh IT services internationally, promote synergies between Kazakh and UAE enterprises, and improve the competitiveness of our IT enterprises.”

The platform has helped 15 Kazakh startups present their projects to the Middle East market and engage with representatives from 100 local and international companies, including EMAAR, Etisalat, Google, Microsoft, Mastercard, L’Oréal and Abu Dhabi Commercial and other industrial giant banks. In addition, Kazakh entrepreneurs seized the opportunity to interact with government institutions and UAE businesses, paving the way for fruitful cooperation.
Timur Mauleshov, co-founder of the Katz Prairie Innovation Center, welcomed the entry of Kazakh innovations into the UAE and Middle East markets, believing that this is a catalyst for Kazakhstan’s export of high-tech solutions overseas.
Mauleshov said: “The Kaz Steppe Innovation Center embodies President Tokayev’s vision to transform Kazakhstan into an IT powerhouse. Since 2021, Kazakh startups have attracted more than $1 billion in investments, which shows that our country’s technology landscape is changing Flourish.”

Maureshov recalled the long-standing trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and the UAE and expressed optimism about the center’s role in strengthening digital cooperation. Mauleshov concluded: “The technology boom in the UAE offers unprecedented opportunities for Kazakh experts and new startups. The Qazi Steppe Innovation Center is ready to provide comprehensive support to our entrepreneurs and facilitate their seamless integration into the booming UAE and Middle East markets.” “
